How to change your Exchange email password:
Method 1: If you have the "Microsoft Sign in Assistant" on your computer
1) Locate the Microsoft Sign in Assistant icon in the lower right corner, or the start menu
or 
2) Launch the sign-in assistant so it looks like this:

4) Click the OPTIONS tab:

5) Click Change Password
6) Type in your CURRENT password where it says Old Password.
7) Type in a NEW password in the New Password fields.
Remember: it has to be 8! The system will allow you to change it to a 7 digit password, but that will be a problem after the upgrade.

8) Click Save. You will get a message in the lower right corner that the password has been changed, and the sign in assistant will return to normal:

9) Exit Outlook, wait until it's fully shut down, then you can go back in and it should be working again. You can also restart your computer to be sure.
10) Your phone and other mobile devices are still using the old password. You'll need to update the password on those when prompted, and those will continue to work.
